Grizzly Energy

Custom websites for South African businesses.

Grizzly designs and builds websites from scratch. No templates, no page builders, nothing that looks like the next business's site.

Every site on this page is live and belongs to a real business.

Business websites from R5,000

SRU website, first screen

Four businesses. Four very different sites.

Each one is built around what the business actually does, not a template with a new logo on it. Pick one to see what went into it.

Armed response, guarding, K9 and rescue, from an operation centre open 24 hours a day.

What we built

  • The site is their operation centre: the first screen runs a live clock and the base's position.
  • A scroll-driven dispatch on a map of their own streets: the alarm, the confirmation, the patrol car.
  • A working copy of their panic app to try on the page: hold Panic for two seconds.

What we build.

  • Business websites

The site people find when they search for you: what you do, where you are and how to reach you, fast on a phone.

  • Online stores

Catalogue, deals and stock on the site, with an admin your staff can run without calling a developer.

    For example: Appliance Warehouse

  • Bookings and enquiries

Booking forms, enquiries that land on WhatsApp, and PayFast payments when you're ready to take them.

    For example: The Nova Lounge

  • Web apps

Accounts, dashboards, leaderboards and admin tools. The arcade on this site, with its pilot accounts and monthly competition, is one.

    For example: Grizzly Arcade

  • Redesigns

A faster, sharper version of the site you already have, on the same domain, with your email left exactly where it is.

    For example: SRU

  • Hosting and care

Sites are hosted and looked after for a monthly fee, so there is one place to go when something needs to change.

Built in, not bolted on.

The effects on this site are written for it, not bought as plugins, and so are the ones on every client site. Three of them, running live:

  • Press a page

    Page changes with character

No blank flash between pages: a pixel curtain sweeps across, the way it does on this site.

  • Grizzly Energy

    A logo that reacts

The mark fills in when it arrives, then clears wherever the cursor or a finger goes. Try it.

  • Links that look right when shared

Every site ships with share images, so a link sent on WhatsApp shows the business, not a blank box.

How it works.

  1. Tell us about the business

A message on WhatsApp or the form below: what you do, who your customers are, and what the site has to do.

  2. See a working preview

The site is built on its own preview address, so you judge the real thing on your phone, not a mock-up.

  3. Get it right

Words, photos and details are settled on the preview, before anything goes public.

  4. Launch on your domain

It goes live on your own web address, ready for Google, and your email stays exactly where it is.

Business websites start at R5,000, plus a monthly fee for hosting. Online stores, bookings and web apps are quoted once we know what they need to do.

Ask about yours

Questions people ask first.

How much does a website cost?

A business website starts at R5,000, plus a monthly fee for hosting. Online stores, booking systems and web apps cost more, and are quoted once we know what they need to do.

Do I keep my domain and email?

Yes. The new site is pointed at the domain you already have, and your email stays with whoever runs it now. SRU and Marine Law Enforcement both moved over this way without their email being touched.

Do I see the site before it goes live?

Yes. Every site is built on its own preview address first, so you can check it properly on your own phone before anyone else sees it.

Will it show up on Google?

Every site launches with what search engines need: a title and description for every page, a sitemap, and link previews for WhatsApp and social media. Where you rank also depends on your Google Business Profile and your reviews.

Can you rebuild the site I already have?

Yes. Appliance Warehouse is a rebuild of an existing online shop, with its products imported from the old one rather than typed in again.

Tell us what you need.

WhatsApp is quickest. The form works too, and a person reads every enquiry.
